Parkland Study

Over the last few months, Berks Nature and Flora Teeter have worked to analyze aspects of the parklands including usage, invasive species, riparian buffer concerns, stormwater management, trail improvements, and many other facets important to the sustainability of our parklands. With the gathered data, they prepared the Wyomissing Parklands Natural Resources Stewardship Plan. The plan provides recommendations that will serve as a direction for the Borough’s administration, Park and Shade Tree Commission, and Council, to phase, budget for, and implement the recommendations within the next five to ten years. If you are interested in learning more about the study, or ways you can volunteer, please join us at the Park and Shade Tree Commission meetings (2025 meeting dates posted on the Borough website calendar by the end of 2024).
