Zoning Hearing Board

Overview

The Zoning Hearing Board has those functions authorized in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended. The Board's primary function is to conduct public hearings and make decisions as to granting or denying variances and/or special exceptions from the terms of the Borough of Wyomissing Zoning Ordinance. Appointed by Borough Council for three-year terms, the Board consists of three Borough residents. The Zoning Officer serves as the Zoning Secretary as well as the Borough representative on the Board, and the Board also retains a Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor. The Zoning Hearing Board convenes as necessary at Borough Hall.
