Emergency Services
The Borough of Wyomissing is responsible for securing and maintaining public safety within our community to protect our residents, visitors, and workforce within borough limits. The Borough maintains its own Police Department and Fire Department, with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) services provided Western Berks EMS. All first responder groups are committed to ensuring a superior level of service during all emergent and non-emergent situations. The Borough also works closely with the West Side Regional Emergency Management Agency who provides aid and guidance during Borough-wide emergency situations.

CodeRED®Emergency Notification System is a service by which municipal officials can notify residents and businesses in West Side Regional EMA, including the Borough of Wyomissing, by phone, email, or via in-app notifications, about emergency situations or critical community alerts.

Fire Department
The Borough of Wyomissing Fire Department is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve and protect life and property of residents, business owners, and visitors of the Borough.

West Side Regional Emergency Management Agency (EMA)
The mission of the Agency is to have a plan for organizing and providing resources to assist the public in any type of natural or man-made disaster.

Western Berks Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for the Borough of Wyomissing are provided by the Western Berks Ambulance Association. The Association provides both basic life support and advanced life support emergency services to a 120+ square mile area in Western Berks County, Pennsylvania.
