The Borough of Wyomissing is accepting applications from Borough residents that are interested in serving a one-year term on the Borough’s Finance and Administration Committee in the resident, non-Councilmember position. The position is voluntary and unpaid.
The Finance and Administration Committee is responsible to Borough Council and reviews financial, personnel and administrative matters as directed by Borough Council. Interested candidates should have a general understanding of municipal finance, policy and law. The Committee meets monthly at 8am on the Thursday the week before the regular Borough Council meeting, which is held on the second Tuesday of the month. Finance and Administration meetings typically last sixty to ninety minutes. Attendance is also required at special budget meetings held in October and November to review and approve the draft budget for the upcoming year.
