This is an advisory for the water customers of the Borough of Wyomissing with the exception of Wyomissing Hills. Please be advised that the Municipal Authority’s water supplier, Western Berks Water Authority, is experiencing a shutdown due to a mechanical failure. Therefore, the Western Berks Water Authority is activating its emergency water source to supply water to the area for domestic use and fire protection. However, the Western Berks Water Authority is requesting that all customers conserve water by eliminating unnecessary uses, such as landscape watering and pool filling, until further notified. This is not a boil water advisory. Water may be used safely without boiling it. You may experience cloudy water or lower than normal pressures until all repairs are completed at the Western Berks Water Authority plant.
