The Borough of Wyomissing Recreation Board met on 4/21/2020 to discuss upcoming events and programs scheduled for May. Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced that the statewide stay-at-home orders issued on April 1 to protect Pennsylvanians and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 are extended until Friday, May 8 at 12:01 AM. Therefore, with the uncertainty of the stay at home orders and social distancing guidelines being extended past May 8th, the Recreation Board has decided to cancel all programs and events through June 1st. This includes the Fishing Rodeo, Concert and Movie in the park, the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, and opening the Wyomissing Pool on Memorial Day Weekend. The Recreation Board will meet again on Monday, May 11th to discuss the events and programs scheduled for June 2020. Park trails and open spaces will remain open at this time, and we encourage people to follow the CDC guidelines regarding social distancing. We apologize for this inconvenience and our hope is that we can all do our part, to get through this time together.
